Open-source multiplayer framework

Co-developed an open-source multiplayer framework with Rockstar Games. Rockstar funded the project and shipped it as an official recipe in their server deployment tooling.

  • Created to give the community a high quality starting point for their own projects, or to throw up a gameserver quickly for friends
  • Built the framework as if it were a first-party product, and Rockstar adopted it as an official "recipe"
  • Worked through Rockstar technical and product requirements in review cycles
  • Produced developer tooling, documentation, and continued support in perpetuity for the community
